There have been legitimate studies about vanilla and the way it affects your mood. It helps ease stress, anxiety, and even enables you to sleep. Vanilla is absolutely a popular fragrance. At the moment, it’s in so many famous big selling brands. I have a collection of best vanilla perfumes; it’s such a beautiful, comforting, and versatile note in fragrances.
I find vanilla perfumes warming and great for winter but also great for evenings and even in spring/summer. Vanilla is one of my most favorite notes ever. If you’re looking for something a bit warm and sweet, then these vanilla perfumes are for you.
The list below is the top staple ones that I wear quite regularly. That’s how I know; I’m loving vanilla within my fragrances.
In this article, I have reviewed the ten best vanilla perfumes. Each perfume is special and smells unique, but the only thing that combines them is they are vanillic and best for cold weather. So, if you love vanilla, this collection is going to be unique for you.
In a hurry? THESE ARE THE TOP PICKS
1.GIORGIO ARMANI SI
First on my list and probably one of my top favorites is Giorgio Armani Si Eau de Parfum. This perfume has been out for a few years; it is lovely and quite strong vanilla. It also has cassis and patchouli. It feels very modern and smells like a sophisticated scent for both daytime and nighttime. A bit of greenness of the cassis and the patchouli, and then this warm vanilla combination makes it a versatile perfume. It is suitable for office use, and you’ll be fine on a night out or a date; it’s very versatile.
If you’re looking for something where you can have that presence and people notice your fragrance, this is a perfect option. Whenever I wear it, I do get asked what I’m wearing and complimented on it. So I would recommend Armani Si to vanilla lovers.
2.LANCÔME LA VIE EST BELLE
One of the most famous vanilla at the moment is Lancome La Vie Est Belle. I do love this fragrance. I’d say it has more vanilla than Armani Si. Vanilla is more dominant here, but this perfume has fresher and feminine notes. This perfume comes across a bit sweeter, a bit more daytime, and every day than Armani Si does.
If you want something pretty feminine or looking for a bit sweeter, happy, and uplifting vibe, then La Vie Est Belle is such a beautiful, sweet and feminine perfume for you.
One of the first things that come to my mind when I think of vanilla perfumes is hypnotic poison from Dior. This cool poison range comes in a little witchy bottle. Hypnotic poison is warm, intense vanilla with coconut. Almond in here as well; another very warm note. So this perfume smells like a nutty and the strongest vanilla. You don’t need many sprays; it’s really strong and long-lasting.
So if you are a head over heels vanilla lover, this is about as strong as you could get it. Those warm, nutty notes make this fragrance last longer, intense, deep, and sexy, but not for the faint-hearted. Hypnotic poison is a very strong perfume.
4.ATELIER COLOGNE VANILLE INTENSE
Another vanilla perfume worth mentioning is Atelier Cologne Vanille Intense, and it’s a bit niche. This fragrance is unisex vanilla. It has some slight woody notes, but it’s more feminine than a masculine scent even though it’s unisex. So this perfume is like smelling a vanilla pod; when you get vanilla extract for baking, it smells like pure vanilla. And then slight woody notes underneath make it a very clean vanilla fragrance. But I wouldn’t say it’s very sweet, it’s like deep vanilla.
Not many perfumes have that deepness to their vanillas; they tend to be more light and sweet than deep. I found this natural vanilla fragrance quite good for lasting, considering it’s a cologne. So definitely check out if you haven’t already.
5.D&G THE ONE
THE ONE, slightly fruity vanilla by Dolce & Gabbana. This perfume has vanilla as its main note, but there’s also a fruity peach note in here. It has litchi, plum, and amber. I find this fragrance and Hypnotic Poison very similar; they’re a bit of a dupe of each other. THE ONE has that slightly fruity note to it, and it’s a bit cheaper as well but very heavy and long-lasting.
6.PACO RABANNE OLYMPEA
A slightly more affordable vanilla fragrance that I smell everywhere at the moment is Paco Rabanne Olympea. This fragrance is like salty vanilla, and there’s even ginger in here. Olympea is quite an unusual fragrance. It also has that heaviness of Jasmine, but then you get the salty vanilla as well, almost like salted caramel.
The bottle is an unusual sort of Olympic medal with impressive Olympic branding. But that saltiness makes you think of the dry climate of Greece. For me, this is like party vanilla. It is strong, and perhaps a single spritz is too much for the day. It’s definitely a nighttime or a winter type perfume.
Another famous vanilla is Bronze Goddess from Estee Lauder. They’re always bringing out new versions of this perfume, but Bronze Goddess is your tropical holiday vanilla fragrance. It has a coconut vibe with Tiare flowers, which is basically a tropical flower. So it smells like being in the tropics or being on holiday in the Caribbean. It smells a bit like Sun Cream, which often has coconut and vanilla notes in it.
Bronze Goddess is super light-hearted but still sweet. It is a medium-lasting scent, but it’s the kind of fragrance that you would wear in those holiday or summertime vibes. And it does lift your spirits because it just reminds you of that carefree holiday feeling.
